Audio guide introduction: 1 minute 24 seconds

The Sisters of the Precious Blood of Jesus in China (also known as the Sisters of the Precious Blood) are located in Yuen Chau Street, Sham Shui Po. Its headquarters is at Bridge No. 1, Lung Yeuk Tau, Fanling, New Territories. The Sisters of the Precious Blood in Sham Shui Po were founded in 1929 and have been providing services to local residents for decades.

In 1860, the Canossian Sisters of Charity began to enter Chinese areas to preach the gospel to local women. At the same time, the third order of the Canossian Sisters of Charity was formed, named "Missionary Girls of the Precious Blood", and became a very influential organization at that time. It was not until 1922 that it officially left the Canossian Sisters of Charity, and then rented a place in Shau Kei Wan for temporary schools and institutions. Unfortunately, the building collapsed a few months later and it was forced to move to Holy Cross House. Seven years later, the Mother Congregation of the Daughters of the Precious Blood in Unchow Street was completed.

The Mother Order of the Precious Blood Sisters is a neoclassical building with an elegant appearance like a European castle. The neoclassical architectural style focuses on simple design, and the colors used are relatively simple and elegant, without using overly eye-catching colors.

In 2017, the building was listed as a Grade II historic building in Hong Kong. Although the building is not open to the public, it is still worth a stop and a look.
